It’s official’s name is Urechis caupo, is a marine spoonworm also known as the “fat innkeeper worm.” The penis fish spend most of their life burrowed in the soft sediment of the sea bed where they can live under the sand for up to 25 years! They find on plankton, bacteria, and other small particles that fall into their mucus traps.
